It will be two alternate helmets in as many weeks for Purdue football. One week after debuting its highly anticipated black matte alternate, Purdue will go with a patriotic version of its primary lid Saturday vs. Iowa for Military Appreciation Day.
It's a nice touch. No, it isn't as loud or as Red, White and Blue as Northwestern's new Under Armour alternate, which was released Monday and will be worn Nov. 16 vs. Michigan, but it's a nice way to remember those who have served days before Veterans Day.
