Video: Dantonio doesn't want to talk quarterback

A quarterback question here. A quarterback question there. A quarterback question everywhere. The quarterback questions were aplenty during Mark Dantonio’s weekly media session Tuesday. As expected, the Michigan State coach politely refused to entertain the topic. The whole thing made for pretty great viewing.

Following the first quarterback question, Dantonio quipped: “Oh, yeah, we got to get to that!”

Of course, we do.

Neither Andrew Maxwell nor Connor Cook separated himself during Michigan State’s 26-13 season-opening victory over Western Michigan. In fact, the duo combined to complete 17-of-37 passes (46 percent) for 116 yards and zero touchdowns.

Still, Dantonio deflected the questions, each time with a smile on his face. At one point, he responded, “I’m not going to talk about who’s starting right now” and later replied “that’s a quarterback question” on a couple occasions.

As great as this is, nothing tops Dantonio’s memorable “Next Question” presser. Watch it below.

hey Mark, was it the 2 interceptions he threw against CMU that gives you so much confidence? HAHAHHAHA I hope he tries to run again, MSU’s defense is going to destroy Gardner, just like 2 years ago, on Nov 2nd, just make sure you pay up again.

I think the MSU receivers need to stop wearing those gloves during the game.
Learn how to catch without the gloves first.
