Maryland will face Virginia in a best-of-three Super Regionals series.
The Terps never trailed in the game before winning 2-1 as Maryland reliever Kevin Mooney struck out UCLA's Darrel Miller with runners on first and third in the top of the ninth.
Earlier Monday, Big Ten regular-season champ Illinois rallied past Wright State to win its first regional championship and advance to the Super Regionals. There are now sixteen teams remaining, with the final eight advancing to the College World Series.
