Just four nights ago, Indiana fans were storming the court after sending No. 3 Wisconsin to its first loss of the season. Saturday, they left Assembly Hall stunned after Indiana's ugly 54-47 loss to Northwestern, which entered the game with only two wins all-time in Bloomington. See some of the best Twitter reaction to the upset in this post.
The numbers were ugly. Indiana shot 25 percent (15-of-60) and had one player (Noah Vonleh, 17) in double figures. Make no mistake, Northwestern's defense had plenty to do with Indiana's struggles.
In the end, this game came down to Tre Demps, who scored 13 of his 15 points in the second half.

Well, so much for that #Hoosiers momentum after the win over the #Badgers. #Northwestern a suddenly dangerous team!

Wow Northwestern wins AT Indiana. Young Hoosiers need to learn how to handle a little bit of success.

Today was Indiana's worst performance on offense (0.74 points per trip) in B1G play in almost 3 years (3/5/11, @ Illinois, 0.74).

There were four games during the IU football season when the Hoosiers scored 47 or more points. #iufb #iubb

First Illinois, now IU. Wow. Big win in Bloomington caps week of restored credibility for Northwestern basketball and coach Chris Collins.

Embarrassing loss for Indiana, but Northwestern has a pair of decent wins (IU and Illinois) in Chris Collins' first season.

Indiana is 2-3 at home vs Northwestern in the last 6 seasons. Indiana was 35-0 at home vs Northwestern in the previous 40 seasons.

So did the basketball gods turn on Indiana for the court rush on Tuesday? Just kidding

Penn State beat itself against Indiana more than Indiana won that game. Hoosiers had that bad loss in them.
