Extreme heat was expected for the opening weekend of the college football season. But frightening skies, torrential downpours and lightning – not so much. You name it, they've had it Friday at Spartan Stadium. So much so, play was halted with 11:19 remaining in the second quarter due to lightning, and the teams were sent to the locker rooms. The game is expected to resume at 10 p.m. ET.
