There's no bigger body in the Big Ten than Nebraska's Andre Almeida. The senior checks in at 314 pounds – a very generous number – and he's also 6-foot-11. So, yeah, he's huge. Like to the point that no player wants stand in his way and take a charge or draw a charge on him. Nebraska reserve Jordan Tyrance had to do both in practice recently, and the video of it (sound effects, too) is classic.
I'm not sure which end of the collision would be worse. Judging from Tyrance's reaction, it seems like it was as the initiator of the contact, the offensive player. Then again, Almeida hardly went full speed into Tyrance when he was driving the lane.
Almeida and Nebraska open the Big Ten tourney at 6:30 p.m. ET Thursday vs. Purdue.
