Right when Ben Brust's buzzer-beater fell Saturday afternoon, it brought back memories of Evan Turner's game-winner in the 2010 Big Ten tourney. Honestly, the two shots are that similar. Not just from the standpoint they both came against Michigan, either. Both also followed clutch shots by the Wolverines and were released from close to the same spot on the floor.
The biggest difference between the two shots is that Turner went with more of a jump shot, off two feet, while Brust made a runner off one foot. Another difference: Turner's shot won the game, compared to Brust's which sent it to overtime, where the Badgers eventually claimed the victory.
A day after Brust's shot, the two players bonded a bit over their heroics on Twitter. See the interaction below.
