This might rub some Illinois fans wrong. Illinois alum and PGA star Steve Stricker attended Saturday afternoon's Illinois-Wisconsin game in, of all things, a Wisconsin hat. BTN cameras even caught him cheering for the Badgers at one point.
But before Illini fans get too mad, realize this: Stricker was born and raised in Wisconsin and his wife went to Wisconsin, where her father spent 26 years as the golf coach.
Or maybe, it's a location thing, because the link below shows Stricker in an Illini hat at Assembly Hall:
@BTNBrentYarina @PGATour Here's Stricker at last year's #Illini #Badgers game in Champaign. http://t.co/lwt2Ogpy. Guess location matters.

Either way, it doesn't seem like Illinois fans will soon forget. Check out these tweets:
Let's all just blame Steve Stricker for everything.

Biggest losers of the first half: 1.) Steve Stricker, 2.) The #Illini basketball team.

Steve Stricker…really? In front of the #illinination of all days?

Steve Stricker is about to start trending #traitor

PGA elite Steve Stricker wearing a Badgers hat? #Illini fans who have rooted for that Illinois alumnus should feel betrayed.
