Michigan and Nebraska are headed to BCS bowls this season, according to AthlonSports.com's 2012-2013 college football bowl projections, released Thursday. The publication puts the Wolverines in the Rose Bowl, versus Oregon, and the Huskers in the Fiesta Bowl, versus Oklahoma. In all, Athlon has eight Big Ten teams bowling. See all the matchups in this post.

Meineke Car Care Bowl: Purdue vs. Baylor
Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl: Northwestern vs. TCU
TicketCity Bowl: Illinois vs. Texas Tech
TaxSlayer.com Gator Bowl: Iowa vs. Auburn
Capital One Bowl: Wisconsin vs. Georgia
Outback Bowl: Michigan State vs. South Carolina
Rose Bowl: Michigan vs. Oregon
Fiesta Bowl: Nebraska vs. Oklahoma

Those are the exact eight teams most prognosticators have bowling, seeing as how Ohio State and Penn State are ineligible for postseason play this season. The biggest difference between this bowl projection and others is Nebraska being in a BCS bowl.

It's a bold pick, especially considering the Huskers play Wisconsin (home), Ohio State (away), Michigan (home) Michigan State (away) and Iowa (away). Making things even more difficult, the Wisconsin and Ohio State dates are back-to-back, as are the Michigan and Michigan State games.
