Yarina: My preseason All-Big Ten Defensive Team

The Big Ten football season kicks off in less than two weeks. Before Indiana (Indiana State) and Minnesota (UNLV) get things started Thursday, Aug. 29 on BTN/BTN2Go, it’s time to unveil my preseason All-Big Ten Defense. Who did I miss? Feel free to leave your submission in the comment section at the bottom of the post.

Northwestern’s Tyler Scott #97

No Ra’Shede Hageman? Really? Most experts think he’s gonna be the first big ten player drafted by the NFL next year. Dude is a monster.

Mike on 8/19/2013 @ 4:16pm EDT Said:

Never mind. Picture wasn’t fully loaded and I didn’t see Shede the first time.

Kyle on 8/19/2013 @ 4:56pm EDT Said:

Minnesota’s Derrick Wells (CB) should be talked about. Not necessarily included, but its up for discussion.

Don’t necessarily disagree with the Washington pick, however the other end of that D line may be better. Don’t sleep on Noah Spence!

No Ricardo Allen???

He missed to top D-tackle (DaQuan Jones), outside linebacker (Mike Hull), inside linebacker (Glen Carson) and safety (Adrian Amos). Here is the real team. At least he got a couple right.
Defensive End – Deion Barnes, Penn State
Defensive End – Tyler Scott, Northwestern
Defensive Tackle – DaQuan Jones, Penn State
Defensive Tackle – Ra’Shede Hageman, Minnesota
Outside Linebacker – Mike Hull, Penn State
Outside Linebacker – Denicos Allen, Michigan State
Inside Linebacker – Glen Carson, Penn State
Safety – Malcolm Willis, Penn State
Safety – Adrian Amos, Penn State
Corner Back – Bradley Roby, Ohio State
Corner Back – Darqueze Dennard, Michigan State

I’d add Ciante Evans.

Someone’s a little penn state biased…

The Iowa defense is going to be much better this year and cornerback BJ Lowery should be getting some talk as an all conference selection.

Curtis on 8/20/2013 @ 11:25am EDT Said:

How about James Morris, Christian Kirksey, or Anthony Hitchens

mike on 8/20/2013 @ 1:34pm EDT Said:

Is it weird that I’m sort of happy that even though Michigan was the number 2 defense in the BIG last year none of their players are on this list? just think how scary their gonna be once these recruiting stars come into the picture if their defense is this solid without any name brand stars(excluding Jake Ryan).

James Joseph Brunner Jr on 8/20/2013 @ 11:20pm EDT Said:

Dude you missed Minnesota’s Linebacker #57 Aaron Hill. He is one tough dude, and a man of even better character!!

john on 8/21/2013 @ 6:01pm EDT Said:
