The BTN EXPERIENCE is a seminar, hosted by Big Ten Network, designed for former Big Ten student-athletes who are interested in pursuing sports media opportunities in the areas of studio analyst, game commentator and/or social media personality. Big Ten Network executives, producers and talent will lead the experience and provide individualized feedback. Participants will receive a video reel of their work upon completion of the seminar. All participants will experience four (4) learning tracks:

  • Studio Analysis
  • Live Game Analysis
  • Digital & Social Content
  • Interviewing

Dates: June 24-27, 2024

Location: Big Ten Network Studios | Chicago, Illinois

Eligibility:

  • The program is open to Big Ten Student-Athletes who have completed their eligibility. A total of 12-16 applicants will be selected for the program. Student-athletes from all sports are welcome to apply.
  • Note: Former student-athletes from the Big Ten?s four new schools - Oregon, UCLA, USC & Washington - are invited to apply!

Logistics:

  • Big Ten Network will provide transportation to/from Chicago, lodging and meals during the program. 
  • Participants will receive an hourly rate of $18 for their participation.
