2017 Big Ten football uniform rankings: Penn State tops the list

Between the numerous alternate uniforms and helmets a majority of teams have nowadays, it's difficult to compile a uniform ranking.

There are so many variables to consider: home uniform, away uniform, alternate uniform(s), throwback uniform(s) and any of the aforementioned designs paired with an alternate helmet.

So, one could love Team A's home uniform but hate its road or alternate design(s). That makes it hard to know where to rank a team, let alone 14 of them, all with at least one alternate.

That being the case, for this year's preseason Big Ten uniform ranking, I decided to select my seven favorite designs. The only rule I had was that I couldn't use a team more than once.
