Nebraska assistant and former Iowa player and assistant Bob Elliott, 64, died Saturday night.
Elliott spent 36 years as an assistant, and came to Lincoln, Nebraska, along with new defensive coordinator Bob Diaco earlier this year.
"Bob was a wonderful man with a great family," Nebraska coach Mike Riley said in a statement. Bob has left an impact on and off the field that will be remembered for many years to come."
