The NCAA men's and women's lacrosse tournament national semifinals are next week in Boston, and the Big Ten will be well-represented.
So well, in fact, the conference accounts for 50 percent of the eight teams.
Maryland and Ohio State made it from the men's side, and Maryland and Penn State are still dancing on the women's side. Both of the Maryland programs have made the Final Four each of the last four seasons, with the women making their ninth straight appearance.
The Maryland and Penn State women meet in the national semifinals at 5 p.m. ET Friday, while the Maryland men play Denver and Ohio State draws Towson on Saturday.
