The 2017 NFL Draft is history. And the Big Ten had 35 draft choices among the 253 selections in Philadelphia. That total ranked fourth among the Power Five conferences, as the SEC had 53, the ACC 43 and the Pac-12 notched 36.
Many Big Ten stars got tabbed, including first-round picks like Michigan?s Jabrill Peppers and Taco Charlton, Ohio State?s Gareon Conley, Malik Hooker and Marshon Lattimore and Wisconsin?s Ryan Ramczyk and T.J. Watt. But a lot of good Big Ten players went undrafted.
Northwestern?s Austin Carr, Wisconsin?s Corey Clement, Michigan?s Erik Magnuson, Illinois? Carroll Phillips, Ohio State?s Cameron Johnston and Wisconsin?s Sojourn Shelton all received first-team All-Big Ten honors but went unpicked.
You could put together a pretty good team of undrafted Big Ten players. And I did just that.
