The last 10 years, Maryland has developed a knack for producing NFL defensive backs with five selected in the draft. That number may grow during this year?s draft, which will take place April 27-29 in Philadelphia.

Cornerback William Likely projects as a late-round pick. The diminutive speedster is adept in coverage and in run support. The 5-7, 180-pound Likely also doubles as a deadly return man. But Likely-who almost turned pro after a strong 2015 season that saw him play both ways at times–is coming off a knee injury that ended his 2016 early. How will that impact his professional prospects?

Offensive tackle Michael Dunn is the other Terrapin who has a decent shot to be selected. The 6-5, 300-pound Dunn is a tough, physical blocker who may go in the seventh round. After that, Maryland players like running back Trey Edmunds, wideout Teldrick Morgan and fullback Kenneth Goins, Jr., probably will be free-agent signees.

Here is a breakdown of how Maryland has fared in the last 10 NFL drafts.
