Anyone associated with the Michigan men's basketball team won't soon forget Thursday's Big Ten tourney-opening win vs. Illinois.

Nearly 24 hours after the team plane was in an accident prior takeoff and just a few hours after finally leaving for Washington D.C., the Wolverines were at the Verizon Center, wearing practice uniforms because the real uniforms are part of the investigation.

The Wolverines didn't look like a team that just experienced a life-altering event, nor did they look like a team that didn't get to practice or get much time to shoot around the NBA arena, unfamiliar to the players.

So, it's no surprise they were in a celebrating mood after putting the finishing touches on the easy 75-55 win.
