The Big Ten office released its players of the week for Week 7 of conference play Monday. See the award winners, plus watch video highlights, below.
Co-Players of the Week: Derrick Walton Jr., Michigan, G - Sr.
- Averaged 22.5 points, 6.0 assists, 5.0 rebounds and 2.5 steals per game in leading the Wolverines to a pair of double-digit wins over Michigan State and Indiana
- For the week, shot 60.9 percent (14-of-23) from the field, 83.3 percent (5-of-6) from three-point range and was a perfect 12-for-12 from the free throw line
- Recorded a weekly assist/turnover ratio of 3.0 with 12 assists against just four turnovers
- Scored 20 points on 7-of-10 shooting, including a 3-for-3 effort from three-point range, handed out eight assists against just one turnover, pulled down five rebounds and swiped a pair of steals against the visiting Spartans
- Matched his season-high with 25 points, corralled five rebounds, dished out four assists and tallied three steals at Indiana
- Against the Spartans, became just the third player in Michigan history to score at least 1,000 career points, pull down 400 or more rebounds and hand out at least 400 assists
- In conference games only, currently ranks fourth in the Big Ten with 17.2 points per game, and is third in free throw percentage, shooting 89.1 percent
- Earns his first Big Ten Player of the Week honor

Jordan Murphy, Minnesota, F - So.
- Averaged 21.0 points, 15.0 rebounds and 2.0 blocks per game in leading the Gophers to a pair of wins over Iowa and Rutgers
- For the week, shot 64.3 percent (18-of-28) from the floor
- Poured in 25 points, pulled down 19 rebounds, including six offensive boards, and recorded four blocks with a steal in the Gophers? double-overtime win against the visiting Hawkeyes
- Scored 17 points and corralled 11 rebounds to go along with one steal at Rutgers
- In conference games only, currently ranks fifth in the Big Ten with 8.3 rebounds per contest
- Collects his first Big Ten Player of the Week plaudit

Freshman of the Week: Lamar Stevens, Penn State, F
- Averaged 23.0 points, 6.0 rebounds and 1.5 steals per game in leading the Nittany Lions to wins over nationally-ranked Maryland and Illinois
- For the week, shot 57.1 percent (16-of-28) from the field
- Scored 25 points on 8-of-13 shooting, pulled down seven rebounds and swiped three steals against the visiting Terrapins
- Scored 21 points on eight field goals, corralled five rebounds and handed out a pair of assists at Illinois
- Has scored at least 20 points in three of the past four games
- Earns his first Freshman of the Week honor
