The Badgers are making their Big Ten-leading fourth visit to Indianapolis, while the Nittany Lions are in the title game for the first time.
Wisconsin knew it was headed to Indianapolis prior to its win vs. Minnesota on Saturday, thanks to Iowa's victory over Nebraska on Black Friday.
Penn State, meanwhile, needed to beat Michigan State and have Ohio State top Michigan. The Buckeyes beat the Wolverines in a thrilling double-overtime decision, and then the Nittany Lions rolled past the Spartans, despite trailing at halftime.
For those interested in this kind of stuff: Penn State will be the home team, by virtue of Big Ten rotating between East and West every season, and in its iconic white helmet, blue jersey and white pants.
