LeBron James and the defending NBA champion Cleveland Cavaliers hosted a preseason game vs. Washington on Tuesday night at Value City Arena.
The King had a strong game despite a 96-91 defeat, compiling 18 points, on 8-of-13 shots, four rebounds, two assists, four steals and one block.
But the outcome wasn't the story. It was all about the Akron, Ohio, native and the defending champs calling the Schott home for a night. James even marked the special occasion by wearing scarlet and gray shoes.
The NBA superstar and future Hall of Famer, as many already know, has a permanent locker in the Ohio State locker room that displays some of Nike's latest designs.
Another #B1G storyline from the preseason game: Washington's Trey Burke (Michigan), in his first season with the Wizards, made a homecoming; in fact the Wizards practiced at his old gym Monday.
