Yes, that's the case, even after the opening week of action.
For what it's worth, Jerry Palm of CBSSports.com has no Big Ten teams in the four-team playoff. For now, Palm has No. 1 Alabama playing No. 4 Houston in the Peach Bowl and No. 2 Clemson taking on No. 3 Stanford in the Fiesta Bowl.
But Palm does have 11 of 14 Big Ten schools in the postseason. And don't be surprised if Michigan or Ohio State makes its way into Palm's playoff very soon.
Here is a look at all of Palm?s bowl picks.
Ohio State: Rose Bowl vs. UCLA
Iowa: Cotton Bowl vs. Georgia
Michigan: Outback vs. LSU
Michigan State: Citrus vs. Tennessee
Nebraska: Music City vs. Arkansas
Northwestern: Foster Farms vs. Utah
Wisconsin: Pinstripe: vs. Louisville
Minnesota: Cactus vs. Texas Tech
Penn State: Holiday vs. Oregon
Indiana: Heart of Dallas vs. Western Kentucky
Maryland: Quick Lane vs. Boston College
