Nebraska unveils new alternate, to be worn at Northwestern

Nebraska unveiled a new all-white alternate uniform, to be worn Sept. 24 at Big Ten West rival Northwestern, on Tuesday afternoon.

The Cornhuskers, outfitted by adidas, have worn several alternates in recent years (this, this and this), but none have been received as well as this slick "Husker Chrome" design.

The uniform, as the Huskers.com release says, "blends crisp, modernized design with a tribute to Nebraska?s clean, classic signature look." That last part is likely a big reason why the uniform is drawing plenty of praise.

BTN will air the Nebraska-Northwestern game at 7:30 p.m. ET Sept. 24.
