NBA rookies are young, of course, and there is no such thing as them receiving too much advice about being a pro.

Former Ohio State star D'Angelo Russell knows this all too well. If you missed it, Russell did this as a rookie and it backfired big time.

Well, no one can say the 2015 Big Ten Freshman of the Year doesn't have a sense of humor or that he takes himself too seriously.

Russell stars in a new Foot Locker commercial that features a trio of 2015 NBA draft picks offering advice to likely No. 1 or No. 2 pick Ben Simmons, out of LSU.

Russell's (perfect) advice?

Get rid of the cell phone.

In fact, Russell threw Simmons' phone into the ocean, saying, "Trust me."
