Welsh-Ryan Arena, the home of Northwestern University's basketball, volleyball and wrestling teams, is set to receive a complete facility renovation, starting next year.
Construction will begin at the conclusion of the basketball season in March 2017 with anticipated completion by fall 2018.
The announcement of the renovation will be announced in a press conference on Thursday afternoon at 2:30 p.m. CT. It will be streamed live for free on BTN2Go.
Northwestern vice president for athletics & recreation Jim Phillips, head men's basketball coach Chris Collins, head volleyball coach Shane Davis, head women's basketball coach Joe McKeown, head wrestling coach Matt Storniolo, Pat and Shirley Ryan, Steve and Sue Wilson and Northwestern dignitaries will be attending the presser.
