Truth be told, there isn't one defining stat that can settle the argument of the best college football program in the nation.
But, this one can certainly create some valid points when it comes to that conversation.
Techsideline.com recently released a graphic that shows the number of appearances in the AP Poll during the last 20 years.
The program at the top of the list: Ohio State.
The Buckeyes have 300 total appearances in the AP Poll during that time span. That means OSU has spent more than 90 percent of their time ranked in the Top 25 during that span.
Next on the graphic is Florida. The Gators have 273 appearances, which is pretty good, but still leaves a pretty significant gap between Florida and Ohio State.
Michigan also lands near the top of the list, making 237 appearances in the AP Poll, good for seventh on the list.
Nebraska (217), Wisconsin (192) and Penn State (154) all appear on the list as well.
Check out the full graphic at the top of this list.
