Following its 15-14 overtime victory against fifth-seeded Brown in Saturday?s NCAA semifinals, the Maryland men?s lacrosse team advanced to Monday?s national championship game.

The top-seeded Terrapins, who also made last season's national final, will take on North Carolina, which defeated Loyola (Md.) in the other national semifinal.
Maryland?s Colin Heacock and Dylan Maltz each produced hat tricks, including Heacock?s game-winning tally with 2:41 remaining in overtime. Matt Rambo scored a goal and added five assists, tallying the helper on Heacock?s game-winner. Goalie Kyle Bernlohr secured 11 saves in the cage.
The Terrapins improved to 17-2 on the season and won their 16th consecutive game.
Monday?s NCAA final will get underway at 1 p.m. ET at Lincoln Financial Field, and air live on ESPN2. The Terrapins defeated North Carolina, 11-8, on March 26 in College Park, Md. Maryland?s women?s team will also take on North Carolina in the NCAA Women?s Lacrosse national championship game on Sunday.
