Maryland's women's lacrosse team is moving on to the NCAA championship.
Taylor Cummings, Taylor Hensh and Megan Whittle each scored four goals as the Terps defeated Syracuse 19-9 in a NCAA semifinal matchup on Friday night.
Zoe Stukenberg added three goals, while goalie Megan Taylor had seven saves in the win.
With the victory, No.1-ranked Maryland will take on No. 2 North Carolina at noon ET on Sunday in the NCAA championship game.
In other NCAA women's lacrosse action, Penn State fell to North Carolina, 12-11, in Friday's other NCAA Tournament semifinal matchup.
Penn State was led by Jenna Mosketti, who had a first-half hat trick. Madison Cyr and Abby Smucker each had a pair of goals in the loss.
Goalie Emi Smith added four saves for the Nittany Lions.
