The semifinals of the 2016 Big Ten Softball Tournament are set.

It will be the top four seeds Saturday, as No. 2 Minnesota will face No. 3 Northwestern and No. 1 Michigan will take on No. 4 and host Penn State with a berth in Saturday night's tourney final on the line.

NORTHWESTERN 3, OHIO STATE 1
No. 3 seed Northwestern scored three runs in the first inning Friday in a Big Ten Tournament quarterfinal against No. 6 seed Ohio State, then got great pitching and defense to make that total hold up in a 3-1 victory against the Buckeyes. Read full NUSports.com recap.

MINNESOTA 2, ILLINOIS 0
Sara Groenewegen pitched a complete game one-hit shutout and Kayla Wenner came across home plate for both of the Gophers runs to lead Minnesota to a 2-0 victory over Illinois in the Big Ten tourney quarterfinals Friday afternoon. PENN STATE 8, NEBRASKA 7
Penn State advanced to the Big Ten tourney semifinals after an exciting 8-7 victory Friday night over Nebraska. Sophomore Alyssa VanDerveer smacked a grand slam in the win, and the host Nittany Lions will play top-seeded Michigan with a berth in the title game on the line. Read full GoPSUsports.com recap.

MICHIGAN 10, INDIANA 0 (5)
