Michigan claimed its ninth straight Big Ten regular-season softball crown Saturday afternoon.

The Wolverines run-ruled Rutgers, 11-1, in five innings to seal their latest conference championship.
Sierra Romero went 1-for-1 with four RBI, including a two-run home run, while Tera Blanco, Aidan Falk and Faith Canfield all added two hits and three RBI apiece. Sara Driesenga allowed three hits and one unearned run en route to earning the victory.
With the win, Michigan seals the No. 1 seed in the Big Ten tournament Friday at Penn State. The tournament, which features the Big Ten's top 12 teams and will air entirely on BTN/BTN2Go, opens Thursday.
The Wolverines close out the regular season at noon ET Sunday vs. Rutgers.
