The do-it-all Michigan State star and Oklahoma standout Buddy Hield were the lone unanimous selections, joined on the first team by Brice Johnson (North Carolina), Malcolm Brogdon (Virginia) and Tyler Ulis (Kentucky).

Valentine compiled a stellar across-the-board final campaign, averaging 19.2 points, 7.5 rebounds and 7.8 assists en route to registering a Big Ten-high 12 double-doubles for the Spartans, who earned a No. 2 seed in the NCAA tourney, only to be upset in the first round.

Indiana's Yogi Ferrell and Iowa's Jarrod Uthoff, both first-team All-Big Ten honorees, earned AP third-team laurels.

The votes were collected before the NCAA tournament.
