Indiana and Big Ten regular season and tournament champion Maryland were eliminated from the NCAA tournament Monday night.

The Hoosiers lost to instate foe Notre Dame, 87-70, while the Terrapins were upset by Washington, 74-65, on their home court.

NOTRE DAME 87, INDIANA 70: Lindsay Allen scored a season-high 22 points, Brianna Turner added 18 points and 10 rebounds and top-seed Notre Dame finally broke away from ninth-seed Indiana with a 15-2 run that started late in the third quarter to beat the Hoosiers 87-70 on Monday night in the second round of the NCAA Tournament. WASHINGTON 74, MARYLAND 65: Kelsey Plum scored 32 points, and Washington shocked second-seeded Maryland 74-65 Monday night to reach the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament for the first time in 15 years.
