Kelsey Mitchell scores Big Ten Tournament record 43 points

Ohio State's Kelsey Mitchell could not miss on Friday night.

Mitchell scored a Big Ten Tournament record 43 points to lead Ohio State to a 73-58 win over Rutgers on Friday night in a conference tournament quarterfinal matchup.

"I was just trying to win," Mitchell said following her record-setting performance. "I know how important it is to our team and to me, and even to the Ohio State family to make things happen for this program."

The Buckeyes will play Michigan State in Saturday's semifinals.
