Shavon Shields took a hard fall and was carted off the court in the second half of Saturday afternoon's 87-63 victory vs. Rutgers.
The Nebraska star attempted to block D.J. Foreman's shot in the paint with 8:49 left, but the Rutgers forward pump faked and Shields, already in the air, landed on his back.
Shields spent several moments on the floor before being carted off on a stretcher.
According to the school, Shields was "knocked out and unconscious for a while."
Trainer R.J. Pietig told Nebraska beat writer Brian Rosenthal that Shields has full movement in all extremities and was taken to the emergency room for precaution.
