Here is a look at the number of states each school signed a player from, and which state produced the most signees for each school, according to the school's signing day releases.

Purdue: 16 states (Florida 4)
Wisconsin: 15 (Wisconsin 8)
Illinois: 14 (Florida 7)
Nebraska: 14 (California 4)
Michigan: 13 (Florida, New Jersey 6)
Minnesota: 12 (Minnesota 11)
Ohio State: 11 (Ohio 10)
Iowa: 10 (Illinois, Iowa 5)
Indiana: 9 (Ohio 6)
Northwestern: 9 (Ohio 8)
Penn State: 9 (Maryland, Pennsylvania 5)
Rutgers: 9 (New Jersey 10)
Maryland: 7 (Maryland 10)
Michigan State: 5 (Ohio 8)

Here's a closer look at the numbers:

  • Wisconsin, Ohio State, Iowa, Minnesota, Penn State, Rutgers and Maryland all looked to their home states for their most signees.
  • The state outside the Big Ten footprint that led the way was Florida, as Illinois, Michigan and Purdue all looked to the Sunshine State the most.
  • Ohio was the most popular state within the league footprint, as Indiana, Iowa, Michigan State, Northwestern and Ohio State all leaned on the Buckeye State the most.
