Player of the Week: A.J. Hammons, Purdue, C - 7-0 - Sr. - Gary, Ind. - Oak Hill (Va.) Academy

  • Averaged 24.0 points, 9.5 rebounds and 3.5 blocks per game in leading the Boilermakers to a pair of wins over Minnesota and Nebraska
  • For the week, shot 67.7 percent (21-of-31) from the field and was a perfect 6-of-6 from the free throw line
  • Scored 16 points, pulled down eight rebounds and recorded three blocks at Minnesota
  • Poured in a career-high 32 points on 14-of-17 shooting, corralled 11 rebounds, handed out a career-best five assists and posted four blocks versus the Huskers
  • Currently averaging 15.5 points, 7.6 rebounds and 2.1 blocks per game on 59.0 percent shooting in conference play
  • Earns his fourth career Player of the Week honor and third plaudit this season

Co-Freshmen of the Week: Deyonta Davis, Michigan State, F - 6-10 - Muskegon, Mich. - Muskegon

  • Averaged 11.0 rebounds, 4.0 blocks and 7.0 points per game on 63.6 percent shooting in just 19.5 minutes per contest in the Spartans? wins over Northwestern and Rutgers
  • Scored eight points, pulled down 11 rebounds, posted a Michigan State single-game freshman record six blocks and handed out three assists in the road win over the Wildcats
  • Chipped in six points, corralled 11 rebounds and recorded a pair of blocks against the Scarlet Knights
  • In conference play, currently averaging 2.0 blocks per game while shooting 63.6 percent from the field
  • Earns his second Freshman of the Week honor

Ethan Happ, Wisconsin, F - 6-9 - Milan, Ill. - Rockridge

  • Averaged 15.5 points, 8.5 rebounds and 3.0 steals per game in the Badgers? wins over nationally-ranked Indiana and Illinois
  • Poured in a career-high 25 points on 10-of-15 shooting, pulled down eight rebounds and swiped a career-best four steals in the overtime win versus the Hoosiers
  • Chipped in six points, corralled nine rebounds and tallied a pair of steals in just 22 minutes of action in the road victory at Illinois
  • In conference play, currently leads the Big Ten with 2.2 steals per game, and ranks third with 8.2 rebounds per contest
  • Earns his third Freshman of the Week honor and third in as many weeks
