The second annual College Football Playoff title game was Monday night, with No. 2 Alabama holding off No. 1 Clemson in an absolute thriller.

With the 2015 season now completely in the rearview mirror, the AP and Coaches polls released their final rankings Tuesday.
Six Big Ten teams are ranked in each poll, paced by Ohio State (No. 4 AP/No. 4 Coaches), last season's national champ. The Buckeyes took care of Notre Dame in the Fiesta Bowl to finish 12-1, the lone loss coming on the final play vs. Michigan State.
Speaking of the Spartans, who lost to Alabama in the Cotton Bowl semifinal, they dropped to No. 6 in both polls. Big Ten West champ Iowa lands at No. 9/No. 10 to give the Big Ten three top 10 squads, while Michigan (No. 12/No. 11), Wisconsin (No. 21/No. 21) and Northwestern (No. 23/No. 22) round out the polls.
