Michigan needed a signature victory to provide a boost to its resume this season.

The Wolverines got just that on Tuesday night.

Zak Irvin scored 22 points as Michigan notched an impressive 70-67 upset victory over No. 3 Maryland.

The victory snapped Maryland's nine-game win streak and gave the Wolverines their third Big Ten victory this season.

Duncan Robinson added 17 points and Michigan held Maryland's backcourt duo of Rasheed Sulaimon and Melo Trimble to just 10 points on 4-of-17 shooting.
