Player of the Week: Mike Gesell, Iowa, G - 6-2 - Sr. - South Sioux City, Neb. - South Sioux City
- Posted his first career double-double with 22 points and 10 assists in the Hawkeyes? win over Nebraska
- Converted 5-of-7 field goals and 11-of-13 free throws
- Scored 19 points and handed out seven assists in the second half
- Has dished out 10 or more assists in three games this season, the most by an Iowa player since Jeff Horner in the 2005-06 campaign
- Currently ranks second in the Big Ten with 6.9 assists per game
- Earns his first career Player of the Week honor

Freshman of the Week: Thomas Bryant, Indiana, C - 6-11 - Rochester, N.Y. - Huntington Prep
- Averaged 14.0 points and 10.0 rebounds per game in the Hoosiers? wins over Wisconsin and Ohio State, as Indiana remained unbeaten in Big Ten play
- For the week, shot 66.7 percent (12-of-18) from the field
- Chipped in 10 points on 5-of-7 shooting and pulled down seven rebounds to go along with a pair of assists against Wisconsin
- Recorded his first double-double of the season with 18 points and 13 rebounds versus the Buckeyes
- Currently leads the Big Ten in field goal percentage at 72.1 percent
- Earns his second Freshman of the Week honor
