We asked BTN analyst Jon Crispin to tell us why each team in the five-game marathon can win, and you can read his thoughts below.

PENN STATE at MICHIGAN (NOON ET)

Penn State will win if … it can limit Michigan to 60 points or fewer by making it a half-court game

Michigan will win if … it finds balance with five players scoring in double figures.

***

RUTGERS at WISCONSIN (2 ET)

Rutgers will win if … it is able to pressure and trap the way Green Bay did late in the game against the Badgers on 12/23.

Wisconsin will win if … its spacing continues to improve as it gets more comfortable with the Swing offense.

***

INDIANA at NEBRASKA (4 ET)

Indiana will win if … it plays fast offensively and takes care of the basketball.

Nebraska will win if … it makes enough shots to keep Indiana from getting out in transition.

***

IOWA at PURDUE (6 ET)

Iowa will win if … Jarrod Uthoff stays out of foul trouble and the Hawkeye defense can limit post touches for Purdue.

Purdue will win if … A.J. Hammons continues to dominate the way he has thus far this season.

***

MARYLAND at NORTHWESTERN (8 ET)

Maryland will win if … its starters play with a sense of urgency, and if Diamond Stone continues to be instant offense and energy off the bench.

Northwestern will win if … the guard play of Bryant McIntosh and Tre Demps can get the Maryland guards in foul trouble.
