Are you an Iowa Hawkeye fan? Are you trying to get a ticket to see the Hawkeyes take on Stanford in the Rose Bowl?

Well… Good luck.

According to KCRG-TV9 reporter Mark Carlson, the University of Iowa has received nearly 40,000 Rose Bowl ticket requests to fill an allotment of 22,000 fans.

Rose Bowl fever is at an all-time high for an Iowa Hawkeyes program that hasn't played in the game since the 1990 season.

After 25 years, expect Hawkeye fans to pay a pretty penny to see their team in Pasadena.

According to Matt Cozzi of Hawkeyecentral.com, the official Iowa bowl tour offered fans two four-night travel packages, which are already sold out. One package was valued at $3,195 per person and the other was $1,995 per person.

At Stubhub.com, the cheapest Rose Bowl ticket as of Wednesday afternoon is listed at $659.99. In comparison, the cheapest ticket on Stubhub to see Michigan State play Alabama in the Cotton Bowl is $60.00.

We know Iowa football fans are passionate, but this is even bigger and better than we expected.

Expect Pasadena to be littered with black and gold come Jan. 1.
