The Big Ten office released its latest weekly award winners Monday afternoon.

Player of the Week: A.J. Hammons, Purdue, C - Sr. - 7-0 - Gary, Ind. - Oak Hill (Va.) Academy
- Averaged 20.0 points, 11.5 rebounds and 1.5 blocks per game in just 25.0 minutes per contest, leading the Boilermakers to a win at Pittsburgh in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge and a victory over New Mexico
- Recorded a pair of double-doubles while shooting 68.0 percent (17-of-25) from the field
- Scored 24 points on 10-of-15 shooting, including a pair of three-pointers, and corralled 12 rebounds at Pittsburgh
- Scored 16 points on 7-of-10 shooting, pulled down 11 rebounds and recorded three blocks in just 16 minutes of action against New Mexico
- Earns his second career Big Ten Player of the Week honor

Freshman of the Week: Jordan Murphy, Minnesota, F - 6-6 - San Antonio, Texas - Brennan
- Averaged 21.5 points, 13.5 rebounds and 2.0 steals per game versus Clemson and South Dakota, including a win over the Tigers in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge
- Posted a pair of double-doubles and shot 55.6 percent (15-of-27) from the floor on the week
- Scored 24 points, corralled 10 rebounds, posted two blocks and tallied a pair of steals against Clemson
- Scored 19 points, pulled down 17 rebounds, handed out three assists and recorded two steals versus South Dakota
- Became the first Minnesota freshman to post back-to-back double-doubles since Kris Humphries in the 2003-04 campaign
- Earns his first Freshman of the Week honor
