Denzel Valentine joined a rare group in No. 13 Michigan State's 79-73 comeback win over No. 4 Kansas in the Champions Classic on Tuesday night.

The star senior did it all en route to becoming just the fourth player in Michigan State history to record a triple-double (29 points, 12 rebounds and 12 assists), joining Magic Johnson (8 times), Draymond Green (3) and Charlie Bell (1).
"I'm proud of the assists," Valentine said, in response to ESPN reporter Shannon Spake asking him about his favorite number of the night.
If the triple-double wasn't enough, Valentine committed just one turnover. Oh, and there's this: Valentine scored or assisted on 22 of Michigan State's 28 baskets.
