Time to take the temperature of the Big Ten?s bowl picture with Jerry Palm of CBSSports.com. This week, Palm has eight Big Ten teams in the postseason, with Illinois, Indiana and Minnesota falling off his chart.

Last week, Palm had 11 Big Ten teams in bowls. The only programs left out: Maryland, Rutgers and Purdue. See last week's list.

There are no changes at the top of Palm?s bowl projections, as just like last week Ohio State is the No. 1 seed in the playoffs playing in the Orange Bowl. But the Buckeyes? opponent has changed, going from Stanford to Oklahoma. Clemson (No. 2) and Alabama (No. 3) are still paired in the Cotton Bowl in the other playoff matchup.

Iowa and Michigan State remain in the same Selection Committee Bowls as last week, but their opponents have changed. The Hawkeyes are paired vs. Stanford (was Utah) in the Rose Bowl, while the Spartans are matched with Florida State (was Notre Dame) in the Peach Bowl.
