The top-seeded Penn State women?s soccer team won its sixth Big Ten Tournament title after defeating No. 3 Rutgers, 2-0, in Sunday?s championship match at Penn State?s Jeffrey Field in University Park, Pennsylvania.

With the victory, the Nittany Lions earned the Big Ten?s automatic berth to the NCAA Tournament.

Elizabeth Ball scored the first goal of the game off a header in the ninth minute, followed by an insurance goal from teammate Emily Ogle in the 26th minute. Penn State?s goalkeeper Britt Eckerstrom tallied one save in the shutout win.
