With Wisconsin?s 1-0 win over Maryland on Saturday, the Badgers clinched at least a share of the Big Ten Women?s Soccer Championship. Wisconsin claims its second Big Ten title and first since 1994.
Micaela Powers scored the game-winning goal in the 81st minute with an assist from Kinley McNicoll. Goalkeeper Caitlyn Clem collected two saves in the win.
Wisconsin (11-4-3, 8-1-1) hosts Northwestern on Wednesday in the teams' regular season finale.
The 2015 Big Ten Women?s Soccer Tournament will be held Sunday, Nov. 1 and Friday, Nov. 6 through Sunday, Nov. 8. Quarterfinals will be hosted by the top four seeds, and the semifinals and championship match will be hosted by the highest remaining seed following the quarterfinals.
