After Iowa's starting running back suffered a lower leg injury early in Saturday's 40-10 win at Northwestern, backup Akrum Wadley exploded for 204 yards and four touchdowns, tying the Iowa single-game record.
The effort was so impressive, in fact, Wadley was trending nationally on Twitter. Relive some of the tweets.
Wadley entered the game with 41 carries, 221 yards and two touchdowns in 10 career games, including 106 yards and a touchdown last season vs. Northwestern.
