The Maryland football team will look a lot different when it takes the field again Oct. 24.
Off this week, the Terrapins will wear an Under Armour throwback uniform in Mike Lockley's debut as the interim head coach in Week 8 vs. Penn State.
The uniform is inspired by Maryland's 1961 home design, the first in the nation to feature player surnames on the back of the jerseys.
The game will mark the second consecutive time Penn State's opponent will debut a new alternate uniform. In Week 7, defending national champ and No. 1 Ohio State will wear an all-black uniform for the first time in program history.
Maryland heritage. Under Armour innovation.
