We here at Big Ten Animated GIF Tuesday headquarters have reviewed this week's wide sampling of available GIFs, and we couldn't help but realize that the weather has surely turned. More on this thought in a moment, but for now look back fondly at previous episodes from Week 1 and Week 2 and Week 3. Oh, and Week 4.
And are you into social media? Come on, everyone is doing it. BTN is on Twitter, Facebook and YouTube with in-game highlights all season long. And we're on Vine and Instagram, too. And Snapchat (bigtennetwork).

So, getting back to the weather. September was so lovely across most of Big Ten country, but October is here. And with it comes the chill that leads us to coats over Halloween costumes, scarves around our necks by Thanksgiving, and, of course, salt on the roads by December. I know, I know, who invited Mr. Downer to the GIF party? But we speak the truth.
So let's take a look at how we all stayed relatively warm around the Big Ten in Week 5, and hopefully none of you caught any colds. Speaking of catches …
OK, with that stretch out of the way, let's talk about ways to stay warm. First tip: Move around. Keep the body going, get the blood flowing. Mix in some hugs. Share the warmth. See, this is good.
This is better.
This is ideal.
Now can we talk hats? Hats trap your body's heat very effectively, as do multi-colored wigs. This does not mean shirts are optional though. We highly recommend shirts.
But back to the hats. They can be little hats or funny hats.
They can be Badgers hats.
Or band hats.
A hat with a hoodie is always a good call.
Or you could wear a hard hat with a GoPro camera mounted on the front of it. Wait, what?
Whoa, that's a lot of hat.
And then there are earmuffs. Earmuffs are in. Stylish, very effective. Can you see the earmuffs over there?
No, our bad. Look the other way. There they are.
The only time we recommend not wearing something on your head to an October Big Ten football game? If you're like this guy. But he's fur-bearing, so, he's always got it covered.
