Time to check in on the playoff and bowl projections of Jerry Palm of CBSSports.com. Bowl assignments have been altered, but 10 Big Ten teams are still penciled into the postseason. However, one of them isn?t 4-1 Illinois.

Despite its inability to dominate, Ohio State remains Palm?s No. 1 playoff seed, taking on No. 4 Clemson in the Orange Bowl. He has No. 2 TCU playing No. 3 Alabama in the Cotton Bowl.

In the Selection Committee Bowls, Palm has Michigan State taking on USC in the Rose Bowl. Last week, the Big Ten also had Wisconsin in a Selection Committee Bowl. No more. Just one Big Ten is slotted here.
