The former Purdue cornerback notched the game-sealing interception to send the Atlanta Falcons past the Philadelphia Eagles, 26-24, in the teams' season opener Monday night.
Allen made the pick off a deflected pass while falling to the ground, and the cornerback-turned-safety who returned a Purdue record four interceptions for touchdowns thought about returning it before thinking better of it.
A fifth-round pick in the 2014 NFL Draft, Allen recorded 13 interceptions at Purdue, second only to Stuart Schweigert in program history.
